This year’s President’s Lunch saw of over 400 civil construction professionals fill the Members Dining Room at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Yet again, proving to be one of the industry’s most prestigious events, CCF Members and other guests came together to network and celebrate achievements of the past year.

MC’d by radio celebrity Tony Leonard, the event was opened with an address from CCF Victoria President, Steve Traicevski (Director of Rokon).

Special Guest Speaker, Brendon Gale, CEO of Richmond ‘Tigers’ Football Club, presented on the Club’s history and journey to success as 2019 AFL Grand Final Winners. This was followed by a Q&A session that allowed the audience to directly engage with questions of their own.

Attendees also enjoyed the comedic musical talents of Greg Champion.

The Lunch also saw the presenting of the prestigious 2019 Ken Edgley Award, to award winner Tom Coen of Comdain Civil Constructions, in recognition of his exemplary service to the civil construction sector in Victoria.

We also celebrated the recognition of our new CCF Victoria Heritage Members – contractor businesses that have held CCF Membership for more than 25 years. These include:

  • Contek Constructions
  • Connell Civil Group
  • Alex Fraser Group
  • V&V Constructions
  • Delfino Paving
  • Tribuzi Contractors
  • Max Burrows Bulk Haulage

The event ended with an address from CCF Victoria CEO, John Kilgour, addressing CCF’s recent and ongoing work in the advocacy and representation space, along with insights to CCF’s further plans for the CCF Civil Skills Cadetship Program.

We would like to thank all of this year’s attendees and look forward to hosting you again next year!
