The CCF Victoria Board is comprised of some Victoria’s most experienced and respected specialists in the Civil Construction Industry.
Steve Traicevski
General Manager/Executive Director, Rokon Pty Ltd. Tertiary qualified and a Chartered professional Engineer holding a Bachelor of Engineering Degree BE (Civil) and a Fellow Member of the Institution of Engineers FIE (Aust). Steve has worked on a continual basis in the Victorian Civil construction Industry since 1986. First role was on the client side for a period of approx. 2.5 years and then on the contracting side ever since. Steve’s passion for the industry is a testament for spending in excess of 30 years in this sector. The current role is Executive Commercial Director of the Rokon Group specializing in the green field land development sector and peripheral works. The Group serves and values its client base along with its stakeholders and self performs many aspects of its works which is complimented by an extensive modern and Rokon owned plant fleet. Steve has served on the CCF Board initially in the early 2000’s and re-joined some 5 years ago contributing in excess of 10 years. As this is a non for profit organization, the commitment of time by all Board Members is a commitment to our industry that we serve to advance and propagate all stakeholders in a fair, safe and sustainable manner.
Anthony Damiani
General Manager Southern Region at BMD Group (BMD). Anthony (Tony) has held senior management roles in the construction industry, previously managing director of civil engineering company Cut & Fill and past Vice President of CCF, Victoria. Specialties: Relationship Contracting, Strategic Development, Bid and Project Management.
Clifford Smith
Managing Director; Lance Smith Excavations P/L. Activities: Specialises in heavy earthmoving activities and large equipment plant hire.
John Plumridge
Managing Director; Maw Civil Pty Ltd. Activities: Largest privately owned contractor on Mornington Peninsula, general civil and specialized Equipment hire (provided a number of long reach excavators to the Hazelwood mine fire).
Brad Wereszczuk
Managing Director, NL Drainage & Concrete Construction Pty Ltd. Brad is passionate about the civil construction industry and has 27 year’s experience in the sector. Taking over from his father Norm, who founded the business 35 years ago, he and his staff have continued to grow the business, expanding its services and reputation. The company specialises in deep sewer, water mains and pump station work, primarily for local government and developers across Northern Victoria and Southern NSW. Brad enjoys spending time with his family, wife Louise and two teenage daughters; they love to travel, overseas and throughout Australia. With a strong belief in community and young people Brad and his family are big supporters and sponsors of local sporting teams and events. Brad is excited about the opportunity of being elected as a new member of the CCF Board, bringing enthusiasm and previous not for profit board experience
Anthony Caligiuri
Managing Director at Califam Constructions Pty Ltd. Anthony is a qualified civil engineer with extensive experience delivering services to a diverse range of projects, in both the government and private sector. Anthony currently holds the position of Managing Director at Califam Constructions. Established in 1974, Califam Constructions has worked extensively throughout Greater Melbourne, specialising in Earthmoving and Civil Construction, with particular expertise in providing hydraulic infrastructure services. In addition to their pivotal area of expertise is sewerage reticulation and trunk outfall works, Califam also delivers world-class services to drainage and water supply projects.
Khaled Elagha
Operations Manager; Fulton Hogan. Khaled has over 30 years experience in the field of civil infrastructure. He has worked on a wide range of projects including roads, bridges, rail, airports, ports, water, dams in Australia and overseas.

John Kilgour
Known for his strong advocacy work and networks at local & State Government levels, John joined CCF in February 2016 from the Committee for Ballarat where he was CEO. Prior to joining the Committee for Ballarat, John has a long and distinguished career in the downstream oil industry with BP. During his 34 years with the BP Group of companies, John delivered major investment projects in the oil and gas, retail, petrol and convenience sectors throughout Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. In February 2017, John was appointed President of the Victorian Civil Construction Industry Alliance, of which CCF is a member.
Gavriel Berkowitz
Gavriel is a skilled Sales and Marketing Specialist with over 25 years experience in providing project management and consultation services to both national and international organisations. He currently heads the Sales & Marketing department at CCF Victoria, driving digital and non-digital initiatives to the benefit of CCF Members and the general civil construction industry.
Sonya Casey
Sonya has been contracted by CCF Victoria, on behalf of the Victorian State Government, to undertake specific research and test remedial approaches into Apprenticeship & Traineeship attraction and retention within the civil industry sector. Sonya currently manages the CCF Civil Skills Cadetship Program, funded by the Victorian State Government as part of their Workforce Training & Innovation Fund (Skills First) initiative.
