Attention City WestWater (CWW) Registered Contractors – Confined Space Entry (CSE) and Associated Works Procedures Updated.

The purpose of this communication is to advise City WestWater (CWW) registered contractors of recent changes to CWW’s Confined Space Entry (CSE) and Associated Works Procedures.

The new procedure is located at:

CWW is bringing its gas detector requirements into line with MelbourneWater (MW) and Yarra Valley Water who have, in the second half of 2014, required the recording of 6 parameters (Oxygen (O2), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), Lower Explosive Limits (LEL), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs – Photo Ionisation) and Ammonia (NH3)) on all sites where a Confined Space permit is required. This requirement comes into effect on 1 March 2015.

In the interests of safety, these changes must be made known to all relevant personnel and complied with at all times. CWW’s field auditors may request proof that all 6 parameters are being recorded.

If you require further information, please feel free to contact the Operations Compliance Manager, Con Mavrelis on (03) 9313  8485.
