Building and Construction General On-Site Award Review – Have Your Say!:

The following is a communication from the CEO of CCF Victoria John Stewart inviting ALL Members to take part in the review of the Building and Construction General On-Site Award which is currently taking place.

Dear CCF Members,

Every four years, the 122 Modern Awards are reviewed by the Fair Work Commission. This process is underway now.The ‘common sections’ and each specific Award are both reviewed.

The National Board of CCF would like your feedback to incorporate into a submission on our specific Award, the Building and Construction General On-Site Award 2010.

Our Award has been scheduled into Group 4E. The timetable of review has recently been released:

  1. Initial conferences for our Award will be held on February 11, 2015 at 3.15 pm to identify the nature of the issues to be raised by the parties during the review.
  2. BUT, prior to the February conferences parties are required to identify any changes they intend to propose during the review. This material is to be filed by no later than 4:00 pm on Monday 2 February, 2015.
  3. After the February conferences the Commission will publish a draft Statement setting out the range of issues arising in each award in this Group and proposed directions for determining these matters. A Final Statement will be issued after the close of the consultation period.

As CCF is the representative body for Members and the most appropriate vehicle to for Members’ collective input to the Award review, we wish to provide you the opportunity to provide your input to the collective CCF Award Review Submission.

This will be the only opportunity for the next four years to HAVE YOUR SAY as part of the CCF into the terms of the Award. As such we strongly encourage you to provide your comments.

If you have any comments on the Award, please forward them to CCF Victoria at by COB Monday, 19 January, 2015. We will then collate your responses for Victoria and submit them to CCF National for consolidation into a National response.
