Construction Contracts in Latrobe Valley:
The Construction Supply Register has been established to encourage businesses in the Latrobe Valley area to tender for work.
To be eligible for any upcoming government building projects, building contractors and consultants need to be signed up to CSR.
CSR is a prequalification scheme for government projects that applies a set of consistent and transparent standards and is nationally accepted method of reducing risk and burden to the government.
A range of criteria are assessed in order to pre-qualify for work including an organisation’s OH&S capability, its industrial relations management, financial viability and experience.
Currently there are only a small number of Morwell suppliers that are actually prequalified through CSR. Now is the time to sign up and get qualified so you can be eligible for any upcoming jobs.
Pre-qualification does not guarantee suppliers will be chosen for projects – but businesses can be selected from the register to compete for contracts with the final outcome determined through a rigorous value-for-money assessment.
