Recent Development In Construction Law In Victoria:

The recent Court of Appeal decision in Brirek Industries Pty Ltd v McKenzie Group Consulting (Vic) Pty Ltd [2014] VSCA 165 has now provided confirmation to the Victorian construction industry that the time frame for commencing a building action for loss or damage in contract and negligence is 10 years from the date of an Occupancy Permit or the Certificate of Final Inspection.
