Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update – From the CEO desk (Alert – New Industry Guidelines).

Good afternoon.

In preparation from the easing of restrictions from 11.59pm tonight, I would like to provide you with a further update following my email last evening and briefing sessions today.

Update on the Lockdown and Positive Cases

There were 4 new positive case reported in Victoria yesterday, a family of four from the Reservoir area, all locally acquired.  The total number of active cases is down to 78. There are new exposure sites in the Reservoir area now added to the public exposure sites listed on the website.

A change was made today by the government on CHO advice to retain the requirement that masks must continue to be worn outdoors. Full details of these eased restrictions including for Regional Victoria are to be found, when updated at:

Positive Case on a Construction Project – UPDATE

The Probuild project at 100 Queen St is and will remain a Tier 1 public exposure site for a majority of the nearly 500 staff and workers affected, however some 200 will shortly be downgraded to Tier 2 Exposure following detailed contact tracing.

The site will open – probably next week – now that over 95 percent of tests have come back negative, a second deep clean (underway) and the Outbreak Team’s confirmation visit and approval.

Industry COVID-19 Guidelines – Revision 13

Revision 13 of the Industry Guidelines has now been issued today by the Chair of the Industry COVID-19 Taskforce, together with an Explanatory Note and an Alert.

I refer you to the attached documents and link to the documents, that have now been placed on the CCF website:

Service Victoria – QR Codes

It is now mandatory installation and use of the Service VIC QR Code. As per my note late yesterday, there will be a period of consultation from Business Victoria about how this can be achieved in various sectors of the industry.

The Victorian Government is offering free access to businesses of a QR Code service, which can be accessed at Victorian Government QR Code Service – A complete list of sectors where this is mandatory is available here.

Until my next update …. keep well – keep safe.

Kind regards
