Employ an Apprentice Today – Build the Civil Construction Industry for Tomorrow:

Now is a great time to take on an Apprentice or Trainee in Civil Construction as the industry starts to grow. As an employer you can transform your employee into an industry expert through your knowledge, skills and experience.

Did you know there are incentives and benefits in employing an Apprentice/Trainee. (Eligibility criteria applies).

  • An Employer of a new Apprentice/Trainee can receive Incentives of up to $4,000.
    The Apprentice must be employed full time and after 6 months of employment there is a $1,500 payment and on successful completion a further $2,500.
  • Work Cover Exemptions for staff undertaking Apprenticeships/Traineeships up to a wage level of $42,500 are available and only part payable for anything over this amount (This can afford substantial savings for employers).
  • In addition, the cost of any Training delivered to staff can be claimed back in Company Tax at the end of the financial year.
