IPWEA Project & Contract Management Workshop (Metro)

The Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) will be hosting a series of Project and Contract Management workshops in early 2020. Supported by partners CCF Victoria and CT Management, this series of workshops will focus on Project Procurement & Project Delivery, and fostering collaboration for mutual benefit. The first workshop in the series will be hosted in Metropolitan Melbourne.

This series brings together experts from the following organisations to outline best practice tools and techniques for positive project outcomes:

•  Mauro Covacci/Melissa Falkenberg/Eilis Hughes | Wyndham Council

WCC has developed & implemented a Project Management Framework to ensure optimal outcomes across their extensive capital works program. Mauro, Melissa & Eilis will discuss their journey to date and the opportunities for continuous improvement.

 

•  Terry Alford | Senior Associate, CT Management Group

CTMG’s procurement, tendering, contract and project management expertise, processes and procedures provide solutions to meet time, budget, risk and compliance pressures. Terry is a specialist consultant to local government and will present a client-side perspective on:
– Tender documentation
– Contract and Contractor selection
– The role of the Superintendent

 

•  Bob Beck/Mick McCarthy/Roland Burt | Civil Contractors Federation Members

CCF members are responsible for the construction and maintenance of Australia’s infrastructure including roads, bridges, pipelines, drainage, ports and utilities. Bob, Mick and Roland have extensive contracting and legal experience and will present supply-side perspectives on:
– Tender response – Conditions of Contract
– Security of Payments – Dispute Resolution
– Workplace Health and Safety
