On 26 August 2024, more of the Closing Loopholes changes to the Fair Work Act took effect.

These include new definitions of employee, casual employee and independent contractor plus new Fair Work Commission jurisdictions regarding unfair contract complaints from independent contractors and minimum standards, unfair termination and enterprise agreement making for road transport contractors.

What do all of these changes mean for the civil construction industry?

Attendees will gain:

  • Practical understanding of the new definitions and the new jurisdictions at the Fair Work Commission
  • Insights into the kinds of questions employers and business owners should be asking about their contractual arrangements with employees, casual employees and contractors
  • Ideas on steps that they can take to manage the issues arising from these changes.

Please send through any questions you have in advance to marketing@ccfvic.com.au.

We look forward to you joining us for this important webinar.
