We have been busy delivering the Bluehats program on worksites across Victoria over the last few months but we haven’t forgotten about our alternative pathway!
We are inviting you/your employees to attend our second installment of General Awareness Sessions (GAS) at the Incolink Head Office in Carlton.
Click HERE to find Bluehats information flyer with information about the session, and also the registration sheet, it has an editable filed to add your primary employer contact information as a starting point of communication with employees. Feel free to use this or preferred method to engage your workers in the program.
Once you have confirmed your/your employees interest, and nominated a primary contact person, please complete the attached registration sheet and return to firstname.lastname@example.org to indicate participation. We will need to liaise directly with your nominated primary contact person in order to:
- Indicate number of workers you wish to attend each session,
- Confirm number of workers attending 48 hours prior,
- Provide attendance confirmation following the session.
See below for upcoming General Awareness Session times:
|Date:||Thurs 2 May||Thurs 30 May|
|Time:||7AM – 8AM|
8:30 AM – 9:30 AM
|7AM – 8 AM|
151 Rathdowne Street
| Incolink Office|
151 Rathdowne Street
Once this GAS session has been completed, participants will be eligible to volunteer for the further Full day of Bluehats Training (x7 hrs free training) affording them a place in the Incolink Bluehat network. Bluehat trainees will receive further support, regular updates and the opportunity to play an active role in their workgroup as the “go to” persons for seeking help, having a chat, offering direction and referral. They will also be trained with an increased capacity to look out for the warning signs of mental health issues in others.
Much like physical first aiders, Incolink’s Bluehat trained network will add to our first response to the growing need for mental health support. As an employer we understand having supportive, capable people in your team is vital for maintaining the wellbeing of your workforce. To help you plan for your workers to go through this program, below you will find upcoming dates for Bluehats training:
|Date:||Wed 15 May||Tues 18 Jun|
For more information about Bluhats, visit https://www.incolink.org.au/wellbeing-support-services/bluehats-suicide-prevention/.
