Review of Environment Protection (Scheduled Premises and Exemptions) Regulations 2007:

Proposed 2017 Regulations and regulatory impact statement.

Victoria’s Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) and Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA) are reviewing the 2007 Scheduled Premises Regulations before they expire in mid-2017.

As you may be aware, these Regulations cover a range of industrial and commercial activities with the potential for significant environmental impacts, and prescribe which premises are required to:

  • obtain an EPA works approval
  • obtain an EPA licence
  • provide a financial assurance.

A regulatory impact statement (RIS) and the proposed 2017 Regulations have been published for consultation at our website. The proposed amendments would change works approval and licensing requirements for some industries, which you can read more about at this page.

If you would like to comment on the RIS and/or proposed 2017 Regulations, you can email your submission to scheduled.premises@epa.vic.gov.au by Friday 16 December 2016.

If you would like any further information about the RIS or the proposed 2017 Regulations, please contact the Scheduled Premises Regulations Review team by emailing scheduled.premises@epa.vic.gov.au or calling 1300 372 842.
