Roads Australia – New CEO Announcement:
CCF Victoria would like to announce to Members that the Roads Australia Board has appointed Mr Michael Kilgariff to succeed current CEO, Ian Webb, when Ian retires later this year.
Michael is currently the Chief Executive of the Australian Logistics Council (ALC), the peak industry body for Australia’s freight logistics industry, which he has led since 2009.
Michael is a graduate of the Australian National University, where he obtained a degree in Economics, and over many years has garnered significant experience in key positions within government and industry associations. He has a particularly acute understanding of how to work with industry and political decision-makers to advance a policy agenda, and build the momentum necessary to win public debates and secure the policy reforms that industry needs.
As the leader of a national industry association advocating on behalf of a particularly diverse and competitive industry sector, Michael has also demonstrated an ability to unite industry participants in pursuit of key objectives. Your board is confident that he has the skills and determination that will allow Roads Australia to achieve positive outcomes in its collaborative agenda.
Michael will remain in his current role at ALC until late July, and will join the Roads Australia team in September. In the meantime, Ian Webb will continue to lead Roads Australia as he has done successfully for the last fifteen years.
I am sure you will join CCF Victoria in congratulating Michael and in thanking Ian for his enormous contribution to the sector during his tenure.
