On 22 June 2020 South East Water released the following letter to clients about changes to fees from 1 July 2020.

Dear South East Water Client,

Your fees are increasing from 1 July 2020
From 1 July 2020, the price you pay for customer contributions, applications, connections and processing fees are increasing in line with inflation of 2.19 per cent.
We’ve included a schedule of the proposed new customer contributions fees for 2020–21 on the next page.

Why have the fees increased?
Our prices and charges are in line with what we proposed in our 2018–23 pricing submission, which was based on customer feedback to keep bills stable and in line with inflation. Our economic regulator, the Essential Services Commission, approved our price submission in 2017, and they have also recently endorsed our prices for 2020-21.

When can I see the full list of new prices and charges?
They’ll be available on our website southeastwater.com.au/buildingprices from 1 July 2020.
