From 1 July 2021, new environmental laws come into effect that focus on the prevention of harm to the environment and human health from pollution and waste. The centrepiece of these new laws are duties relating to environment protection, particularly the General Environmental Duty (GED).
Understanding and controlling your risks is key to complying with the new duties. EPA has designed these training resources to inform you of the changes and your obligations. This is aimed at educating and supporting you and your organisation to prevent harm from your activities.
When the Environment Protection Act 2017 (Vic) takes effect in July 2021, businesses will be required to take a proactive approach to preventing harm to human health and the environment from pollution and waste.
Through the Transformation-funded Industry Partnership Program, EPA have approved CCF Victoria as an industry partner to provide practical and online training with the launch of the new laws. As such, the following e-learning modules are made available to the Civil Construction industry in partnership with EPA. This is to support civil contractors, business owners and environmental officers to understand the new laws and the implications/actions required for your business.
There are 8 ONLINE TRAINING MODULES which take between 10-30 mins each to complete. They are:
- The New Environment Protection Act
