To ensure the safety of personnel in the operation of mechanical plant and equipment being operated in the vicinity of overhead power lines and underground assets, a qualified Spotter must be implemented onsite to observe and ensure the safety of the works. This 1-day course covers the necessary knowledge and skills required in conjunction with required prerequisites.
This course is recognised by Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) and the Victorian WorkCover Authority as meeting the requirement under Victorian Regulations for Plant Operations near overhead powerlines and underground assets. This course complies with formal accreditation, 22325VIC Course in Worksite Spotters.

Who should attend?
Industry workers who act as a designated Spotter. You must be 18 years of age or over.
Participants must hold a current ESV approved Spotters qualification and maintain currency of the required prerequisites.
Level 2 First Aid, must be current, less than 3 years old, and must show level of first aid & issue and/or expiry date.
CPR qualifications, must be current, less than 12 months old.
Plant Operator Ticket for the plant you want to spot for – must be in accordance with Worksafe Standard NOHSC 7019, RII Plant Units.
What qualifications does this offer?
After successful completion of this one-day course and assessment you will be registered with Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) subject to all mandatory ESV requirements being met. ESV will issue you with a Spotters Ticket (valid for 3 years).
