It can be very difficult to tell whether building materials contain asbestos just by looking at them. Asbestos awareness training is essential for any worker in construction or related industries where asbestos containing materials may be present. If you need to work in environments where asbestos may be present.
Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention specifies what is required to recognise the workplace health and security risks and hazards that are inherent in working with products containing crystalline silica and to plan and implement safe systems of work to reduce exposure to within the mandatory exposure limits.

Participants will be able identify and apply this knowledge in the context of their jobs for their own safety as well as the safety of co-workers and bystanders. The course outcomes are applicable to workers in the building and construction industry. Attending this course will assist you to identify materials likely to contain asbestos and understand the controls of both Asbestos and Crystalline silica dust, teach you the safety requirements for working with both asbestos and crystalline silica products.

This is a non-accredited training course. This certificate is issued by Civil Train Victoria, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO number 3704).

Such as Front-Line Managers, Work Supervisors, OH&S personnel, and Project Managers. Those people require a clear understanding of Silica and Asbestos Awareness in the work environment, and roles that do not require to remove these substances.

What qualifications does this offer?

On completion, you will have a clear understanding of your responsibilities for the safety of people working within their environment and have the capability to understand the risk and mitigation to work safely. You will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
