Course Details

The intention of the course is to maximise the life expectancy of sewerage pipeline installations through the correct selection of materials, meeting specification requirements for installation, and ensuring quality testing on completion.

• Deliver safe and reliable sewerage services.
• Ensure that all assets meet expected lifespan & operational requirements.

Successful completion of the course is part of MRWA accreditation process.

This course is ran by Civil Train Victoria, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO number 3704).

Topics Covered

  • Day 1: Ensure a complete understanding of the changes to the MRWA Standards and specifications to improve performance. It will also include group activities to improve confidence in working to the Sewerage Code of Australia MRWA Edition, Version 2.3 and training in using the MRWA web portal.

Who should attend?

The course would suit designers, contractors and plumbers working in the construction of sewer pipes who have previously completed the two-day course and require refresher training every five years.

Eligibility

This REFRESHER course is delivered live online where attendees are able to engage with the trainer in a virtual live classroom environment via web conferencing software (Zoom or Teams). All assessments are completed on our Learner Management System (LMS) Cloud Assess Learning Platform, enabling greater flexibility and variety for learners.

You must have an individual email address and access to reliable internet.

Devices/Technology:
We encourage you to use a device such as a computer/laptop or tablet to view/attend the Virtual Classrooms and navigate the LMS Online Platform.
We do not recommend the use of a mobile device, however if you need to use your mobile device, please ensure you have sufficient data and internet access.

If you do not have access to the required resources, please speak to your workplace immediately.

Please note: It is restricted by law and is very dangerous to use a mobile phone while driving and may result in significant penalties for the driver.

What qualifications does this offer?

On successful completion of the course you will receive a certificate of attendance that will indicate the participant meets MRWA’s “Construction Supervisor” requirements for Sewer Pipe Laying.
