Course Details
Personnel are required to complete refresher training at three-year intervals to keep up with ongoing changes to standards and legislation. Employers are required to ensure that employees’ qualifications are sufficient and current.
This REFRESHER course is delivered live online where attendees are able to engage with the trainer in a virtual live classroom environment via web conferencing software (Zoom or Teams). All assessments are completed on our Learner Management System (LMS) Cloud Assess Learning Platform, enabling greater flexibility and variety for learners.
This course is ran by Civil Train Victoria, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO number 3704).
You must have an individual email address and access to reliable internet.
Devices/Technology:
We encourage you to use a device such as a computer/laptop or tablet to view/attend the Virtual Classrooms and navigate the LMS Online Platform.
We do not recommend the use of a mobile device, however if you need to use your mobile device, please ensure you have sufficient data and internet access.
If you do not have access to the required resources, please speak to your workplace immediately.
Please note: It is restricted by law and is very dangerous to use a mobile phone while driving and may result in significant penalties for the driver.
- Taken a course in TMP preparation (e.g. RIICWD503E – “Prepare Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance” or equivalent), or
- Taken an appropriate refresher course (within the last three years), from a Registered Training Organisation accredited under the Australian Qualifications Framework

Who should attend?
If you have completed course RIICWD503E – “Prepare Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes” and its coming up to three (3) years, you will need to undertake this refresher course to stay current.
What qualifications does this offer?
After successful completion of this refresher and assessment all participants receive an updated Prepare Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes Refresher card with three years validity. This qualification meets the Vic Roads standards.
