Course Details

This course is designed to meet the national competency standards for the nationally recognised unit of competency, RIIHAN301E – Operate Elevating Work Platform (EWP). It is fully accredited and recognised throughout Australia.

Please note that “Yellow Cards” are issued by an industry body outside the VET system. You do not need a Yellow Card to operate an EWP or scissor lift—this is a common misconception.

The one-day EWP course is intended for individuals who need to acquire the skills and knowledge required to operate an elevating work platform, such as a scissor lift. The training runs for approximately 8 hours and is available at the Civil Contractors Federation facilities in Notting Hill, Braeside or at your workplace.

Topics Covered

  • Hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures
