This unit is delivered in one day, enables participants to operate a variety of small plant and equipment used in the resources and infrastructure industries. The unit focuses on pre-start checks, safe operation, and storage, preventing workplace injuries and equipment damage and supports efficient, compliant site operations — a must-have for general civil labourers, plant operators, and apprentices.
This course is run by nationally accredited Registered Training Organisation Civil Train Victoria (RTO number 3704).

Who should attend?
All workers who operate small, powered equipment used in civil and construction environments, such as compactors, concrete saws, jackhammers, and pumps. Small plant and portable tools are used daily on civil sites and require specific operating and maintenance knowledge.
