Course Details

This is combined TC1 and TMI1 non-practitioner course.
It gives you a general understanding and awareness of how traffic control and traffic management implementation works in Temporary Traffic Management Category 1 Roads. It's a knowleadge based course and you are not trained to perform the role on-live roads.

Course Delivery Structure

In Class Training:

  • Days 1 and 2: Complete the learning and theory assessment of the course.
  • Day 3: Dedicated to simulated practical assessment.

All the fees including Austroads Lodgment fee is included in the course fee.

This AustRoads recognised course is delivered by Civil Contractors Federation (Victoria Branch), a Registered Training Organisation (RTO Number 3704) and an AustRoads approved training provider.

Who should attend?

This course is suitable for people who:

  • Supervise or manage worksites (e.g. site supervisors, project managers)
  • Work around traffic management but do not set it up
  • Need to understand compliance and safety requirements
  • Are involved in planning or oversight, not implementation

Who it is NOT for?

This course is not suitable for:

  • People who want to work as Traffic Controllers on a road
  • People who want to set up traffic guidance schemes on a road

Note: For these roles, the Practitioner courses are required.

What do you get on successful completion?

Upon successful completion of the three days, you will be issued with Digital Statement of Completion for Category 1 Traffic Controller (Non-Practitioner) and Category 1 Traffic Management Implementor (Non-Practitioner).

You will also be registered with Austroads as a non-practtioner.
