Course Details

The Utilities Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) Worker Accreditation course is designed for all workers employed directly or indirectly by a Utility organisation that provides services such as water, gas, electricity, communications, and public transport services. Indirectly refers to companies who solely work to provide services to a provider of water, gas, electricity, communications, and public transport services.

The course content was developed in collaboration with Utilities providers to meet the needs of essential infield utilities workers for applying restricted Temporary Traffic Management practices. A letter must be supplied to CCF Victoria during your enrolment evidencing that a learner fits into the above category.

The implementation date for Victoria was July 1, 2025. All Utilities workers must transition to the new training before their current card expires.

This non-accredited course is delivered by the Civil Contractors Federation (Victoria Branch), a Registered Training Organisation (RTO Number 3704) and an AustRoads approved training provider.

Prerequisites

  • Hold a Construction Induction White Card (Red Card is also accepted).
  • A letter from their employer evidencing their employment with a utility provider (direct or indirect) is also required and must be supplied to CCF Victoria.

How is Accreditation Achieved?

Accreditation is achieved by successfully completing this Utilities Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) Worker Accreditation course. After completing this course CCF Victoria will send your course completion to Austroads. All the fees, including Austroads fee of $30, are included in the fees.

Is Refresher Training Required in future?

More information regarding this course refresher will be available later; at this stage it is anticipated a refresher will be required every three years.

"Indirectly" refers to companies who solely work to provide services to a provider of electricity, gas, water, or communications.

The course is specifically tailored to meet the needs of essential infield utilities workers for the application of restricted Temporary Traffic Management practices.

It is crucial for attendees to understand that this is a non-accredited course and will NOT qualify you to work as a Traffic Controller, Traffic Management Implementer, or Traffic Management Designer.

Assessment

A multiple-choice assessment to evaluate the learner's understanding of the course material.

What qualifications does this offer?

On successful completion of the course, you will receive:

  • A Certificate of Completion which states that you have successfully completed the Utilities TTM Worker Accreditation course. This Certificate of Completion will include the following:

    "This Certificate provides the individual to perform duties as an infield Utilities worker in Victoria which excludes the individual from performing the functions of a fully qualified Traffic Controller, Traffic Management Implementer or Traffic Management Designer."

  • A Digital Utilities card will be issued by CCF Victoria.
