Medical science warns that enduring excessive work stress can cause serious chronic diseases. The construction industry is notorious for work stress, suggesting that professionals like civil and construction engineers as well as managers may be at high risk.

A research study is being conducted at Deakin University by Prof Imriyas Kamardeen (https://www.deakin.edu.au/about-deakin/people/imriyas-kamardeen) to investigate the prevalence of work stress induced chronic diseases among construction industry professionals in Australia.

Members of the Civil Contractors Federation are invited to participate in a survey on the link below and share their experiences of work stress and its adverse effects.
