WorkCover Cross Border Project Heads for Echuca:
As you would be aware, Victoria WorkCover Authority (VWA) and WorkCover NSW are continuing their commitment to the Cross Border Project which has already assisted more than 200 border construction sites to understand the similarity of safety obligations.
The next phase of their campaign will be conducted in the Echuca/Moama region on Friday 14 November, 2014 starting with a Trade Information Breakfast at ‘Dahlsen’s Hardware’. See below for details.
Just to remind you what this initiative is about, inspectors from both states are working together to provide information and advice to local builders, contractors and workers about construction site safety requirements all with the aim of reducing the amount of injuries and hazards that occur each year on worksites.
Also in addition and for your reference, please click here for an example of a checklist outlining some of the items that WorkCover will be assessing when they conduct site inspections. If you have any questions around this, please contact CCF OH&S Advisor David Bevens on (03) 9822 0900 or email email@example.com
