2024 CCF Infrastructure Luncheon

EARLY BIRD PRICING NOW AVAILABLE UNTIL 30 APRIL. For this year's Infrastructure Luncheon event on Wednesday 12th June. This event will provide attendees with greater insight into the pipeline of works for major civil sector projects within Victoria and also a chance to meet with industry experts.

The Civil Contractors Federation Victoria is hosting an Infrastructure Luncheon, which is aimed at bringing together civil contractors and industry stakeholders. The event is designed to provide insights and updates on the latest developments, trends, and opportunities in the construction sector, particularly in Victoria.

The luncheon will feature keynote speeches, presentations and discussions from prominent speakers and experts in the industry. These speakers will share their experiences and knowledge on a range of topics, including the latest infrastructure projects, technological advancements, safety practices, and regulatory changes.

Guest Speakers:

Hon. Danny Pearson MP
Victoria State Parliament – Assistant Treasurer, Minister for Transport, Minister for Suburban Rail Loop, Minister for WorkSafe and the TAC and Member for State District of Essendon

Mr Pearson is a member of the Legislative Assembly in the Victorian State Parliament, having been elected in 2014 and subsequently in 2018.

Mr Pearson was:
• Chair – Public Accounts and Estimates Committee of the Parliament of Victoria (2014 – 2018).
• Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier of Victoria (2019 – June 2020).

In June 2020, Mr Pearson joined the Cabinet as Assistant Treasurer, Minister for Government Services and Minister for Regulatory Reform. He added the portfolio of Creative Industries to his responsibilities in October 2020 and held this role until June 2022. Minister Pearson became the Minister for Housing in June 2022, in December 2022 he became Minister for Government Services and Consumer Affairs and in October 2023 was appointed to his current portfolios.

Mr Pearson holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degree from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Business Administration from the Melbourne Business School.

Tracey Slatter
Chief Executive Officer – Transport Accident Commission

Tracey was appointed Chief Executive Officer in May 2023 and commenced the role in July 2023. Tracey has a wealth of experience having served as the Managing Director of Barwon Water for six years and prior to that, CEO at the City of Port Phillip.

Tracey also previously held the role of Head of Claims at the TAC for four years and is well known in the social insurance sector. Tracey is Deputy President at the Institute of Public Administration Australia (Victoria) and is also the Interim Chair of the Barwon Regional Partnership.

She holds a postgraduate qualifications in business leadership, a Masters in Commerce and is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Administration and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Jonathan Spear
Chief Executive Officer – Infrastructure Victoria

Dr Jonathan Spear is Infrastructure Victoria’s Chief Executive Officer.  

Previously the organisation’s Deputy Chief Executive, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel, Jonathan has led Infrastructure Victoria’s work on Victoria’s 30-year infrastructure strategy, research program and provision of independent advice to the Victorian Government. 

Before joining Infrastructure Victoria during its establishment in 2015, Jonathan held senior leadership, policy, strategy and legal roles with the Victorian Government Department of Premier and Cabinet, Department of Justice, Victoria Police and Slater and Gordon Lawyers. 

Jonathan holds a Doctor of Philosophy in History, Executive Master of Public Administration, Master of Laws, Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts (Honours). He is also a legal practitioner, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Williamson Community Leadership Program, and a director of the Melbourne Forum.
